August 26 Summer Entry 3

Well, school has actually started. I learned this summer how to change a chain in a chain saw and that curry is good. I played entirely too much online (Warhammer) and didn't paint enough toy soldiers. I got to listen to a monster truck rally, Huey lewid, David Crowder, Trace Atkins and two days of demolition derby from the farm. The house is on a hill overlooking the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. I visited the fair with my wife for half a day and saw the most amazing flower display I have ever seen at a fair. Sonoma has evidently historically set the bar for county fairs in that category. It, by itself was worth the price of admission. And then there was the guy with the toothpick structure. But while we were at the fair we got some great news. Our daughter, Katharyn, got a full time teaching job at Loma Prieta Elementary School just down the road from our house (the house in the Santa Cruz Mtns).
Well, not enough naps again but it has been a nice time. I loved playing Warhammer with Kendra and working at the farm with my wife. I even built a banquette (look it up).
