1 Activity Density of Irregular Solids

A Request. If you know anyone visiting Rome Italy this year I have a favor to ask. I would like between a half a cup and a full cup (200 to 400 ml) of dirt from the race track at the Circus Maximus. This is for a project for the Miniatures Club. Just bring it back in a baggie. If you know someone who can do this (maybe you), email at chris.roberts@sesd.org. It would be really great to have a piece of the real place for our chariot racing game.

Extra Credit Opportunity: If over the 3 day weekend you go or do something Science or History related, bring proof of the activity into class and you will earn 5 extra credit points. This is a great chance for the family to get out and see parts of the Bay Area and does not have to cost anything. Examples include: Visit a California Mission (free); Hike to the epicenter of the 1989 earthquake at Nisene Marks State Park (parking); Ride a bike in the salt ponds area near the Palo Alto airport and look at the wildlife and maybe stop by the visitor's center (free). Hike around at the Marin Headlands or Fort Point (parking and admission cost). Any questions, email me and I will tell you if it counts.
