Yesterday the district sprayed an herbicide all around campus (see all the orange stains along concrete cracks). This was done during the first three periods and during brunch in the presence of students and staff. The person applying the poison was wear a hazardous materials jump suit and a mask but sprayed it right next to some students. I believe this was the wrong thing to do. Some suggestions were made that if we complained, then other maintenance around campus would get "delayed". I also believe this is wrong. My experience is that teachers complaining about such things falls on deaf ears but three or four parents can make a huge difference.
